Sub-divided into the five trade fair segments Railway Technology, Railway Infrastructure, Public Transport, Interiors and Tunnel Construction, InnoTrans occupies all 42 halls available at Berlin Exhibition Grounds. The InnoTrans Convention, the event’s top-level supporting programme, complements the trade fair and will be streamed live. A unique feature of InnoTrans is its outdoor and track display area, where everything from tank wagons to high-speed trains are displayed on 3,500 metres of track. InnoTrans offers vehicle manufacturers the possibility to demonstrate buses on a static Bus Display area and the adjacent Demonstration Course. InnoTrans is organized by Messe Berlin. The fifteenth InnoTrans will take place from 22 to 25 September 2026.

ECNDT 2026, the European Conference on Non-Destructive Testing, is a prominent congress gathering experts, academics and industry professionals to share innovation, research and cutting-edge technologies for the future of inspections and quality control. ECNDT is EFNDT’s (European Federation for Non-Destrcutive Testing) premier international event. The very first USES² training school is taking place this year, from the 25th to the 29th May 2026, at Université Gustave Eiffel, Nantes, France. It evolves around SHM, innovative sensors, advanced mechanical waves methods, smart structures and much more in the SHM and NDE fields.

The 2nd USES² Industry Day aims at inviting companies, administrations, local authorities, academic experts, policy makers, research scientists, engineers in order to boost networking opportunities, to recognise the challenges of Structural Health Monitoring and to discuss USES² research work in these fields.

To mark the European Materials Day 2025, the German Society for Materials Science (DGM) is organizing a virtual competition for outstanding master’s theses in materials science and engineering.
