Professorship for Cognitive Sensor Systems

 

The Chair of Cognitive Sensor Systems focuses on the development of cognitive sensor and data systems for the nondestructive monitoring of industrial processes and value chains. The expertise in technical testing and sensor physics is supplemented by technologies and concepts from AI research.

 

Special interest lies in the main research areas:

  • Sensor intelligence
  • Data acquisition and evaluation
  • Predictive sensor systems
  • Sensor and data systems

for process optimization in the material and product cycle.

The chair works closely with the Fraunhofer Institute for Nondestructive Testing IZFP, including in the following research and performance centers:
