Bridges, tunnels, and other civil engineering structures are key components of critical infrastructure. Their safe operation is an essential prerequisite for maintaining public services and mobility.
In accordance with DIN 1076, structures in the road and trail network are regularly monitored and inspected. Nevertheless, damage can occur between inspection intervals and continue to develop unnoticed.
Early damage detection, followed by prompt analysis, assessment, and repair, makes it possible to prevent costly consequential damage and sustainably extend the service life of structures. Providing a comprehensive data and information foundation directly at the structure forms the basis for well-informed decisions in infrastructure management.
