NDT in research, development and application

After the annual conference planned in Osnabrück in 2021 could unfortunately only take place virtually, we are all the more pleased to be guests in the city of peace from May 6 to 8, 2024.

Osnabrück is one of the four largest cities in Lower Saxony and the center of the Osnabrück region. With approximately 28,000 students at the university and college, a share of 14 percent of the total population, Osnabrück is an important location for research and teaching. The automotive, metal and paper industries dominate the local economy. The favorable traffic location at the intersection of important European road, rail and water routes promoted the settlement of transport and service companies and now becomes the optimal place for us to exchange ideas about NDT in research, development and application, to network and to share knowledge together.

Following the tradition, you are welcome to arrive with the typical local hobbyhorse, which is directly related to the 1,400 day long congress for the negotiation of the Peace of Westphalia. In 1648, the end of the 30 Years War was proclaimed in Osnabrück. Our annual conference will be much shorter in comparison.

The venue is the OsnabrückHalle, which was already extensively renovated before the Corona pandemic and is now one of the most modern congress centers in Europe. In addition to spacious lecture rooms, the location offers ample space for company presentations with information stands - the format which, at the request of our members, is to be held every two years - alternating with a full-size exhibition.
