Production-Integrated NDT

Industrial manufacturers, particularly mass producers, are facing increasing pressure to reduce costs while improving quality and keeping pace with advances in automation. For this reason, there is a growing demand for nondestructive testing (NDT) processes that support or are directly integrated in the production lines in order to monitor, control and optimize the manufacturing process.

With this in mind, the goal of the Production-Integrated NDT department is the development of automated or automatable processes for such environments. In carrying out this work, researchers exploit the entire potential offered by the available nondestructive processes and equipment.

INDUSTRIEPREIS 2016: In the Automotive category Fraunhofer IZFP was labeled "BEST OF 2016" for its "3MA PHS" technology solution!

We have convinced the jury and therefore belong to the top group of the submitted applications. The exquisite group of judges is formed by an independent specialist jury comprising experts from different industrial branches, professors and specialized journalists.
